Addvantech Warranty Policy - Rechargeable Battery Packs
ONWELL Power warrants its battery packs to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the following stated period under normal use and service.
Batteries assembled with cells originated in Japan:
Twelve (12) months from the date of shipment

Batteries assembled with cells originated in China:
Eight (8) months from the date of shipment

Warranty Coverage:
Subject to inspection, testing and analysis, ONWLL will repair, replace, or refund a defective battery pack at its option. Replaced or repaired products will be covered for the remaining warranty period. If batteries do not exhibit the reported defect, products can either be sent back at purchaser's expense or disposed of locally at the purchaser's decision.

Clarification on Limited Capacity Warranty:

Battery capacity is warranted to maintain 80% of the rated capacity within the warranty period under normal use and service. Batteries are delivered in non-fully charged condition for transportation safety concern. Although it is rarely the case, some batteries do require several charge/discharge cycles to reach their optimal capacity level. No warranty replacement is provided for batteries that can eventually reach the target capacity.

Warranty Exclusions:
(1) Consumable parts subject to normal wear and tear.
(2)   Products that have been modified, altered, or improperly tested.
(3)   Defects, capacity loss, or damages result from:

  • Improper operation, installation, misuse, and abuse.
  • Improper charging / discharging operations (including using non-approved chargers).
  • Improper storage, inadequate storage condition, and prolonged storage (suffers from severe non-recoverable self-discharge).
  • Accident or negligence.
  • Contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity and heat or heavy perspiration, sand, dirt, and food.

Warranty Claim Procedures:
(1) Contact an ONWELL personnel and send a list of batteries to be returned and obtain a RMA (Return Material Authorization) number. Products returned without a valid RMA number will not be accepted or serviced. ONWELL may request partial quantity of the product to be sent back for analysis before releasing a RMA number.
(2)   Return products with RMA# to ONWELL. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, ONWELL is not liable for transportation, duty, labour, and other charges related to the return. Proper reimbursement of the charge can be agreed after analysis of the cause(s) of the defective batteries.
(3)   Batteries returned must carry its original label with identifiable date codes and reasons for returning (if not previously notified by the purchaser). Returned batteries lacking the above information will not be serviced.

THE AFORESAID WARRANTY IS EXPRESSLY IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER CONDITIONS AND WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR OF FITNESS AND TO THE EXTEND PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW. ALL OTHER LIABILITIES OF ADDVANTECH LIMITED WITH RESPECT TO DEFECT OR DEFICIENCY APPLICABLE TO OR RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM, THE PRODUCTS SUPPLIED BY ADDVANTECH LIMITED, WHETHER IN CONTRACT OR IN TORT OR IN NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE, ADDVANTECH LIMITED'S LIABILITY SHALL UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE INVOICE PRICE OF ANY PRODUCT FOR WHICH WARRANTY CLAIM IS MADE, NOR SHALL ADDVANTECH LIMITED IN ANY EVENT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS OR DAMAGES OR LOSS OF USE.
